Notes on why I've kept this archive:
In about 2011, I decided to start up a blog to try and make sense of this world around us. Every now and then a frenetic, if short-lived, period of writing would result in a substantial collection of articles being published.
When this thomaskilroy.com domain became available again (I was the registered owner back in 2000 up to about 2006), I decided to press the reset button on my blogging output and bring all my content under one roof, so to speak. Today, the Talk Show together with my Social Media presence makes up the bulk of my output, with blogging taking a back seat somewhat.
So what to do with my collection of published articles? Rather than just delete them, I thought it beneficial to keep them since many of the stories were written at pivotal moments in my life and deserve to be revisited once in a while. especially as they do rise and fall in relevance as time goes by.
The quote above sums up my approach to work and by extension, to life. My photos, broadcasts, and writing are just part of this relentless endeavour not to settle, but instead to keep looking. My journey always was the destination.
